Blender and MODO: Comparing the Basics

Having worked mostly in C4D, Maya and my current main and favourite 3D application MODO, I decided to learn the increasingly promising looking Blender.

As I’m very interested in how different packages tackle certain tools and workflows in their own specific ways I thought other fellow 3D artists might also benefit from me documenting my discoveries and some of the things I found notable.

All contents of this video are of course entirely subjective and a matter of personal preference and taste. Workflows I might prefer in one application may seem uncomfortable to others and vice versa.
If I’ve made any significant mistakes or overlooked anything important, I’d appreciate you letting me know. 🙂

As I say in the video, I’m completely new to Blender and it’s very possible that I make statements about some of its workflows and tools with limited knowledge of alternative options.
